We are pleased to welcome on board Prof. Dr. Jamshed Butt as Director, Center for AI, Digital Arts & Creative Design and Director, Center for Sports & Fitness, Salim Habib University.
As a distinguished figure in the fields of creative education, digital arts, and self-defense education, Dr. Jamshed Butt has over 25 years of rich experience in both academia and industry, where he has made significant contributions to Pakistan’s digital art and design landscape.
He founded Premier Graphics & Animation (PGA), Pakistan’s first specialized digital art studio, in 1996, and later established the Academy of Martial Arts, introducing structured self defense programs for women, children, and traditional martial arts. In 2017, he became the first Pakistani to be awarded a Ph.D. degree in Creative Industries & Art Practice, demonstrating a lasting impact in digital arts education. Throughout his career, Dr. Jamshed Butt has pioneered initiatives in creative and self-defense education, shaping Pakistan’s digital art and design industry and leaving an indomitable legacy in both realms.
