    Biography

    Miss Rabia Noor; Category A Registered Pharmacist under Pharmacy Council of Pakistan, is currently working as a Lecturer Cum Preceptor at Salim Habib University in the Department of Pharmacy Practice since 2022. She had earned her Master’s in Pharmacy Practice from Jinnah University for Women, Karachi, Pakistan. She has an advanced understanding and command of Drug and Product Development having short- and long-term stability studies, mucoadhesive gel formulation, pre-clinical and clinical studies. She has four national and international research publications. She is experienced as a Quality Control in performing a range of analytical tests such as RP-HPLC and UV Spectrophotometry, etc. Additionally, worked as a quality control and validation officer for multiple Pharmaceutical dosage forms in a well-known reputed Pharmaceutical Industry.

    Before joining Salim Habib University, she was serving as an academician at Jinnah University for Women, taking sessions on community, clinical and hospital pharmacy from 2019 till 2022. Her wok has been recognized as that of a deft faculty at her previous workplace.

     

    Currently, she is involved in conducting research projects with her colleagues in the domain of neuropharmacology, receptor expression studies in rodents at Animal house facility of SHU. Engaged in different research projects. She is also the Principle Investigator with Indus Hospital and Health Network on a project of Pharmacoepidemiology, Evaluation and Management of Pharmaceutical Care Plan of in-patients admitted in Pediatric Surgical Unit of Indus Hospital, Karachi. Her skillset includes hands-on practice, during project work, on molecular medicine techniques; RP-HPLC, ELISA and Western Blotting. From the experience of industry and academia, she has developed an enhanced interdisciplinary approach in herself with an adaptive nature and open-minded thoughts to work with other departments for the promotion of research culture in the healthcare at national and international level.
