Inauguration of IEEE CS & IEEE WIE SHU Student Chapters

The Inauguration of Salim Habib University’s IEEE Computer Society (CS) Student Chapter and IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Student Affinity Group was organized by the Department of Computer Science, Salim Habib University, on Monday, November 4, 2024.

The event featured a talk by Prof. Dr. Tariq Rahim Soomro, Chair IEEE Karachi Section & Rector IoBM, and a Center of Learning and Teaching (CLT) Panel Discussion titled Fact vs. Fiction: Dissecting the Challenges of Generative AI.

The panel discussion, moderated by Vice Chancellor SHU Prof. Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder, included panelists Prof. Dr. Shakeel Khoja, Dean of the School of Mathematics & Computer Science (SMCS), IBA Karachi, Mr. Sohail Chaudhry, Head of Banking Solutions Group/Data, Systems Ltd., Prof. Dr. Rizwan Ahmed Khan, Dean, Faculty of Information Technology, Salim Habib University, and Ms. Asna Ishrat, Software Architect.
