Dr. Kashif Arif

Dr. Kashif Arif serves as the Acting Chairperson and Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance at Salim Habib University. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance from the prestigious University of Malaya, Malaysia, one of the top-ranked universities globally. With over 15 years of experience in academia and industry, Dr. Arif has made significant contributions through his rigorous research and valuable insights, particularly in the areas of corporate governance, financial literacy, and firm risk management.

Dr. Arif has an extensive portfolio of research publications, contributing to the academic community with impactful studies such as “Financial Literacy and other Factors Influencing Individuals’ Investment Decision” and “Impact of Corporate Governance on Performance of a Firm.” His research has been widely cited, underscoring his influence in the field. His expertise extends to various domains, including CEO leadership, board dynamics, and the role of financial information in decision-making.

Beyond his research, Dr. Arif plays a crucial role in university governance, actively participating in various academic committees, including the Research Committee of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC).
